Are You Experiencing God’s Rest? | Hebrews 4:1-11

Are You Experiencing God’s Rest? | Hebrews 4:1–11 | Hold Fast

Are you carrying burdens that leave you exhausted, discouraged, or struggling to trust God?

In Hebrews 4:1–11, we’re reminded that God’s promise of rest still stands. But just as the Israelites missed what God had promised because of their unbelief, we can miss the rest he offers when we refuse to trust him.

In this message, Pastor Darien Gabriel of Grace Christian Fellowship explores what God’s rest really means, why unbelief prevents us from experiencing it, and how we can keep trusting God even when our faith is struggling.

Through the stories of Joshua and Caleb, a desperate father who cried, “I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!”, and missionary Hudson Taylor, we’ll discover that God’s rest doesn’t require a trouble-free life. It requires a heart that keeps trusting him.

Bottom Line: God’s rest is available today to those who keep trusting him.

Will You Finish Well? | Hebrews 3:7–19 | Hold Fast Series

Don’t just start well. Finish well.

It’s possible to experience God’s goodness, witness His faithfulness, and still allow unbelief to harden our hearts. That’s the sobering warning found in Hebrews 3:7–19.

Drawing from Psalm 95 and Israel’s failure to trust God in the wilderness, Pastor Darien Gabriel challenges us to examine our own hearts. Israel’s problem wasn’t a lack of evidence. It was a lack of faith.
In this message, we’ll explore three essential practices for finishing well:
1. Hear God’s voice today. (Hebrews 3:7–11)
2. Guard your heart every day. (Hebrews 3:12–15)
3. Don’t let unbelief keep you from finishing well. (Hebrews 3:16–19)

Through a personal story about a life-changing medical warning, Darien reminds us that warnings are gifts when they lead us to change course. God’s warning is clear: Don’t harden your heart. Respond to His voice with faith and obedience.
Bottom Line: Finishing well requires a heart that keeps hearing, trusting, and obeying God.
Genuine faith doesn’t merely hear God’s Word. It responds to God’s Word and continues trusting Him.
What do your actions reveal about what you truly believe?
