Is Jesus Coming Back? — 2 Peter 3:1-10
Is Jesus Coming Back? | 2 Peter 3:1–10 | Faithful to the End
Everyone asks, “When is Jesus coming back?” But the apostle Peter asks a different—and even more important—question:
Why hasn’t Jesus come back yet?
In this message from 2 Peter 3:1–10, we discover that Christ’s apparent delay isn’t evidence that God has forgotten His promise. It’s evidence of His patience and mercy. Every day that Jesus delays His return is another opportunity for people to repent and receive eternal life.
At the same time, Peter reminds believers to stand firm when the world mocks the promise of Christ’s return. Jesus is coming back. The only question is whether we’ll be ready—and whether we’ll use the time we’ve been given to help others know Him.
Bottom Line: Jesus is coming back. Until then, He’s preaching through us.
